We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Mental Health Nurse RMN to join our welcoming and dynamic team working on an adult acute inpatient ward in Yeovil.
We know that working on an acute ward can be challenging, but with the right team, we are rising to the challenge and reaping the reward of being able to support people during their most difficult times
Rowan Ward provides a dedicated healthcare-based place of safety for up to 18 men and women. We recognise that the little things can sometimes make a big difference, which is why we provide a warm and welcoming ward environment which is as calm as possible.
We value teamwork and believe it is important to be supportive to our colleagues. We are looking for people who share the same values, who are innovative and committed to providing holistic care with a passion to improve the patient experience.
You will work closely with the Ward Manager and clinical leads in managing the Inpatient ward, ensuring the provision and development of a growing, top quality service. We are looking for nurses with an understanding of both national and local targets affecting the NHS today.
With your outstanding communication skills you will join a team that works innovatively to demonstrate their commitment to providing compassionate care and improving the patient experience.
Prior experience as a Band 5 would be preferable but is not essential, as we would also welcome applications from preceptees. There is the expectation you will undertake the Mentorship course in conjunction with Bournemouth University in order that you can supervise and support their students. You will receive regular Supervision, Annual Appraisals and will be offered training opportunities to meet your Personal Development Plan.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
