Are you newly qualified and looking for your first position in a calm and supportive hospital?
Wincanton Community Hospital has the perfect opportunity for you.
We believe that the time to care for our patients is the most important part of nursing. You will be able to build therapeutic relationships with our patients whilst finding your feet as a nurse and learning from your amazing colleagues, one of which has recently won a mentor-ship award.
Our complex patients create plenty of opportunity for your training and development and you will learn skills such as Intravenous Therapy, PICC lines, blood transfusions, syringe drivers, complex wound dressings such as VAC therapy, and end of life care whilst working autonomously with the support of your peers.
There is plenty to get involved in at the Hospital. Our patients enjoy activities such as hands on craft, music sessions, and tea parties, all arranged by our innovative Activities Co-ordinator. You may also be lucky enough to be at the hospital when Lofty the therapy horse pays a visit!
It really is a lovely hospital. Informal visits/chats are always welcome.
All our staff at the hospital benefit from free parking.
Somerset Partnership value our newly qualified staff and run an excellent preceptorship programme to support you in your transition from a newly qualified nurse to a fully-fledged professional.
We will also pay your first years NMC Registration fee.
If you are as excited as we are about this opportunity, please get in touch or apply now.
Those interested in bank contracts are also encouraged to apply.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
