In preparation for the opening of 2 HDU beds in one of our Surgical Wards (Barrington), we have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and dynamic registered nurses (Band 5) with an interest in developing High Dependency skills to join our critical care team at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
As a unit we pride ourselves on delivering consistent high standards of holistic care. This is reflected in our ICNARC data, performance metrics and feedback from patients, relatives and visitors to our unit.
We offer a supportive environment with an extensive induction programme based upon the STEPS national competencies for critical care nurses. This in combination with self-directed study will assist you to develop the skills required to care for High Dependency patients. Following completion of our induction programme the successful candidates will participate in the rotation between the new and existing High Dependency beds.
We are seeking self-motivated individuals with a commitment to professional development who aspire to making a positive contribution to care given to critically ill patients.
Successful candidates will become an instrumental part of a large Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure that our patients continue to receive the high quality, safe patient care which we pride ourselves on.
