The Beacon Centre Chemotherapy Day Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital is a dynamic, forward thinking and progressive nurse led unit.
As part of the National Cancer Patient Experience Survey, the Beacon Centre was ranked third in the country for overall patient experience.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent patient centred care whilst optimising the best outcomes for our patients. We ensure that all patients throughout Somerset requiring Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment receive a high standard of care from point of diagnosis to completion of treatment.
To meet increasing demand for our services, we are now expanding our Unit which presents exciting opportunities for our staff and unit as a whole.
Continued expansion of the unit provides rapid and professional progression opportunities for staff to develop further and enhance their skills.
We have a fantastic opportunity for Registered Nurses with a can-do attitude to join our team.
We are a positive unit who strive to create a calm environment for our patients during a difficult time in their lives.
Your main role will encompass the delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment and Supportive Therapies to patients with cancer on a daily basis, using the systems in place for a multi-disciplinary approach to deliver patient centred care.
Ideally, you will bring with you experience of working in a fast-paced environment and have the confidence to deal with challenging and sometimes emotional situations.
We are an inclusive department which will provide you with the necessary training and development to enhance your skills to deliver optimum patient centred care, along with developing you as an individual to succeed well in all aspects of your role. You will have the opportunity to become a link nurse for specific cancer sites and attend study to learn more.
If you have the drive and ambition to improve care for patients with cancer, we would welcome you to join our team.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
