Consultant in Orthogeriatric Medicine
Applications are invited from accomplished and enthusiastic individuals with orthogeriatric and general geriatric medical experience (GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT) to join our highly regarded, growing geriatric service.
We currently have 11 consultants working in specialist services in orthogeriatrics and osteoporosis, POPS surgical liaison, Parkinson’s and movement disorders, and a front door OPAL service with an OPAL ward attached to the acute medical unit.
The post is for a full-time contract (10 PAs) however part time roles or flexible working can be made available for the right candidate.
To be involved in the general medical on-call as we develop our 7-day services across the Trust, and this is likely to integrate with review of new fractures.
To provide a high standard, the full range of specialist diagnosis, treatment and care to older patients.
To be responsible for undertaking the administrative duties associated with the care of patients and the administration of the department.
