What’s the role?
We would like to welcome a Registered General Nurse (RGN) into our team on the lovely Eliot Ward at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton, part of Taunton and Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time position for a Band 5 RGN, offering between £23,023 and £29,608, dependent on your experience.
Who are you?
You will be a fully qualified Registered General Nurse, registered with the NMC and dedicated to providing top-quality service to those in your care. With your outstanding communication skills, you will join a social and supportive team that works innovatively to provide compassionate care and improve their patient’s experience.
You will gain extensive experience in a range of conditions and in complex discharging, but you will also have the chance to foster relationships with your long-stay patients and help them with their Reablement.
We provide opportunities and support for you to undertake courses with UWE, including on the Principles of Dementia and Complexities of Caring for the Elderly.
Prior experience as a Band 5 would be preferable but is not essential, as we would also welcome applications from preceptees. Applications from qualified job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.
Who are we?
Eliot is a fast-paced ward that provides outstanding care for medically unwell Elderly patients, including those living with dementia. We are a cheerful and dedicated multi-disciplinary team, who are constantly open to new ideas. We have recently hired Activities Facilitators, to support patients in avoiding pyjama paralysis and get the entire ward involved. As a team we like to take part in fun charitable events and team building exercises, we hope you’ll love to get involved too!
