The Acute Medical Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital is the heart of the hospital. We currently have an opportunity for a Registered General Nurse to join our team.

The Acute Medical Unit at Musgrove Park Hospital is based in the Duchess building and is a 51 bedded ward, the largest in the hospital. We are the first point of entry for patients admitted from the emergency department or directly from GPs.

You will play a vital role in supporting the Senior Charge Nurse, Charge Nurse and other Registered Band 5 nurses as well as being jointly responsible for overseeing the work of the Health Care Support Workers on the ward.

This is an opportunity for you to develop excellent clinical skills in medicine whilst delivering assessment care of the highest standard. You will be passionate about achieving the best outcome for your patients and ready for the challenge of thriving in this fast-paced environment, where no two days are the same.

If you’re interested in making a difference to patient care then we want to hear from you!

We welcome applications from those who wish to develop their skill set within this specialty, and are also lucky enough to be able to consider applications from newly qualified nurses and will support you through your preceptorship.
