Holford Ward in Taunton would like to welcome a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our highly-skilled team.
Holford Ward is a progressive Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), providing care for up to 10 male adults during the most acute stage of their recovery. We have recently undergone a major refurbishment to provide a purpose-built, modern, safe and comfortable environment for our residents to recover in.
We know that working on a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit can be challenging, but with the right team we are rising to the challenge and reaping the reward of being able to support people during their most difficult times.
As part of our team, you’ll be dedicated to providing top quality care and remain confident, approachable and sensitive to the difficulties faced by people who are in the most acute and challenging phase of their recovery.
You will work closely with the Ward Manager and clinical leads in managing the inpatient ward, ensuring the provision and development of a growing, top quality service.
We are a unique ward as we are based on site along alongside 2 other mental health wards including an Acute Inpatient ward and Older Peoples Inpatient Ward, and we have an ECT Suite on site. This creates an environment where we can share knowledge and experience with our colleagues, whilst supporting each other to provide the most high-quality patient care.
As well as benefiting from the above, you will receive excellent support from your manager and colleague and you’ll have opportunities to access specialist training in line with your professional development.
Previous experience in PICU would be an advantage. However, we are in the fortunate position to be able to welcome newly qualified nurses and we will pay your 1st year’s registration fee for NMC as a thank you for choosing us. We can also offer an excellent relocation package to those looking to move to the area.
We would love to hear from you so please get in touch or apply if you feel you have what we are looking for and vice versa.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
