Pyrland Ward is currently taking part in the Royal College of Psychiatry Improvement Programme working towards accreditation, being part of this process will create an excellent opportunity to help you enhance your skills.

This is an exciting time to join us as have started a refurbishment of our Dementia Ward to provide a better environment for our patients with a diagnosis of Dementia. As well as our Dementia Ward, Pyrland also consists of a 2nd ward which specialises in the treatment of elderly patients with functional mental health illness. Both wards have 14 beds caring for people over the age of 65.

Here we have been working collaboratively with NHS Improvements & would encourage staff to take part in further collaborative opportunities in the future. 

Part of the role includes leading a team during the shift alongside a fellow RMN, providing evidenced-based care to our clients and working collaboratively with our community team colleagues to ensure that the admission and discharge process is effective.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of treatment plans within the inpatient wards ensuring high-quality care. You will be working in collaboration with patients & carers to develop individual treatment plans with an emphasis in a supported discharge working closely with community teams to ensure a seamless service. 

You’ll be joining a supportive and friendly team that will make your transition into the ward an enjoyable experience, whether you are a newly qualified looking for a preceptorship or an experienced nurse.
