Band 5 MSk Physiotherapist

The Somerset Integrated MSk Pathway commenced on the 1st October bringing exciting opportunities for physiotherapists keen to work within a musculoskeletal setting as part of a new innovative pathway, joining our highly motivated and respected team. We currently have a Band 5 vacancy at Burnham on Sea Hospital and will consider part time or job share requests. We also welcome enquiries from undergraduates who may wish to apply for future opportunities with us as they arise. All sites offer free on-site parking.

You will be joining a dynamic, evolving team, from Band 4 exercise instructors to Band 7 Clinical Specialist and First Contact Practitioners, delivering a proactive approach to a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. We have a robust and flexible clinical support and mentoring network, comprehensive in-service training program, regular protected CPD time and an annual clinical away day, to explore the latest in evidence based practice. We work closely with clinical specialists in all departments, offering clinical supervision, injection therapy and clinical support. As the MSk physiotherapy service and the Orthopaedic Assessment Services operating across the whole county of Somerset and Patient pathways are fully integrated - this supports the seamless delivery of MSk care to our patient population and provides career progression opportunities for staff.

At Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust we are proud of the excellent, pioneering service the musculoskeletal physiotherapy team deliver to our patients. As an employer, we recognise that our staff truly are our greatest asset and we are committed to supporting them to achieve a rewarding and satisfying career.

If you feel you have what we are looking for, this is the job for you! Please see the job description and specification for more details on the role.

Somerset is sure to surprise you with its contrasting landscapes and diverse population. The county lies south of Bristol and North of Exeter and has fantastic links to the rest of the country. Central London is only two hours away. Whatever pace of life you’re looking for, Somerset has a place to suit. There are large vibrant towns with many villages and hamlets as a contrast. The county boasts fantastic arts and sports facilities, spectacular shopping centres and breath taking scenery – from the wilds of Exmoor to the beaches of Burnham-On-Sea – in short; there is something for everyone.
