The opportunity has arisen for a Registered General Nurse to join the District Nursing Team in North Sedgemoor, based at Burnham on Sea.

You will be joining the team at a key time as it evolves within the Integrated Community Service - working with therapists and colleagues in older people's mental health services and alongside innovations such as Home First and the Home care service, all with the same goal in mind - to maintain good quality complex care closer to home.

Our service provides nursing care to housebound patients on the District Nursing Caseload, striving towards keeping people in their own home or facilitating their safe discharge from hospital. We already have strong links with all the local Acute hospitals.

So if you are looking for a role that offers you a friendly and supportive working environment amongst knowledgeable and experienced colleagues then this is the job for you. We will give you opportunities to develop many skills in community nursing and in particular your knowledge of wound care and End of Life care.

Candidates must have access to transport and be willing to travel around the area as necessary. This post involves lone-working and the service covers every day between 8am-10pm.

Closing date for application is 26 February 2018.

Interviews are scheduled for 14 March 2018.

We look forward to hearing from you.
