Willow Ward in Bridgwater has a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team - proud to be rated OUTSTANDING for care by the CQC!
Willow Ward is a countywide inpatient service providing rehabilitation for up to 11 men and women with long term mental health difficulties and complex needs.
Working with us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our patients, who are often with us for long periods of time. You’ll be able to get to know them and their stories and be a part of their journey towards recovery.
Our multi-disciplinary team provides a programme of rehabilitation with a variety of psychosocial groups, therapeutic and leisure activities within a structured weekly programme. We encourage social integration; promote links with community groups and services and encourage active involvement of families and carers.
As part of our team, you will be a competent and motivated individual who values recovery-focused care and can offer a dynamic approach to our patients; enabling them to reach their optimum recovery potential. You will be able to deliver high-quality mental health nursing care within a structured occupational ward programme.
With your excellent communication skills, you will join a work family that work innovatively to demonstrate their commitment to providing outstanding care and improving the patient experience.
Prior experience as a Band 5 would be preferable but is not essential, as we are fortunate enough to be able to support preceptees, and the Trust will pay your 1st years NMC Registration as a thank you for choosing us.
As well as of the usual NHS Benefits such as 5.4 weeks annual leave PLUS Bank Holidays, enhanced pay for unsociable hours to top up your income, and flexible working practices to promote a good work-life balance, you will also benefit from full support from your manager and colleagues, and access to training.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
