MUSGROVE PARK HOSPITAL

Trust Doctor – ACUTE MEDICINE (ST1/2)

We have a vacancy for a fixed term post in Acute Medicine at Musgrove Park Hospital at ST1/2 level from February 2018 - August 2018, with the possibility to extend.

The posts are ward-based at ST1/2 level caring for an patients on acute medical wards which will include the Ambulatory Emergency Care unit.

At present this post has supplements for on-call but is not recognised for higher training. However, Taunton has an excellent reputation for training and we expect the post-holder to develop and enhance their skills during their tenure.

The post has an option of specialist clinic attendance, as dictated by the applicants’ educational needs, and the post holder should be able, subject to clinical pressure, to join the regular teaching program for our trainees (FT2 or CMT level as needed). It is also anticipated that the post will carry a regular education delivery component, for example for medical student or F1 teaching, dependent upon the successful applicant’s experience.

Experience of working in an NHS Acute Hospital is essential.
